Black Panther fans can now catch flights to Wakanda from Atlanta airport

Flight to Wakanda.
The busiest airport in the world is now offering Black Panther fans a ‘flight to Wakanda.’
In case you didn’t know, the African nation is completely fictional, but fans have loved the Marvel movie so much that Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has offered a flight to where the movie is meant to be set.
With more than 2,500 flights coming and going each day – it serves over 100 million passengers a year – the airport has added more work to their plate.
Earlier this week, a fan of the movie starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular character updated a sign at one of the gates to show that flight ATL1234 to Wakanda would be leaving at 7:30 p.m., then shared a photo of the sign on the airport’s official Twitter account, writing, ‘The bags are packed #WakandaForever.’
Many Twitter users seemed extremely excited to book a one-way flight to Wakanda, and not too bothered that return tickets were not readily available.
Fans were intrigued, with many replying to the tweet to ask questions about the flight’s logistics.
According to the banter in the airline’s mentions, you would need a Wakandan lip tattoo to board and ticket made out of Vibranium; and the complex villian Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan, could possibly be seated right next to you.
Even Black Panther star, Lupita Nyong’o, took notice of the flight offer!
She asked about the in-flight entertainment, suggesting creative titles like T’Challa’s Angels, M’Baku To The Future, Shuri’s Gotta Have It, Killmonger Bill, and W’Kabi In The Woods.
In case you didn’t notice her movie suggestions were a play on real movie titles, but changed to include Black Panther themes (we won’t spoil the movie for those who haven’t watched it yet!)
The airport’s idea to announce a fictional flight from Atlanta to Wakanda reportedly came from multiple calls from fans to book the trip.
